Right Skills 4U

As the world, society, and youth change, the vocational training systems in Hungary and Slovenia must also adapt to the needs of students. Chambers and other institutions play an important coordinating role in vocational training, and their current biggest challenge is to "reach" and engage young people, ensuring they not only hear but also listen to what is being offered to them.

The European Commission has declared 2023 as the European Year of Skills, fully supporting the theme of our project. Our goal is to guide young people, considering the ever-changing needs of the labor market, in the right direction and to focus their attention on their abilities and skills, which should play a decisive role in their career choices.

The long-term goal is to reduce unemployment and increase the competitiveness of Slovenian and Hungarian SMEs by strengthening and utilizing appropriate competencies, thus contributing to sustainable growth.

It is crucial that skills match the needs of the labor market, so we also collaborate with companies. Fully leveraging the potential of the workforce requires greater, more effective, and more inclusive investments in the development of training and vocational education. The activities planned in the Right Skills 4U project aim to guide participating organizations towards establishing and strengthening effective communication with young people and supporting them in choosing a career that matches their skills and competencies. In collaboration with experts, we will prepare an action plan to present communication methods that can effectively reach the younger generation. Besides effectively conveying relevant information, our specific task is to direct young people's attention through various project activities towards choosing a profession that fits their skills and abilities, as this is the foundation for their career advancement and balanced future.

Through the project, we will further strengthen the professional collaboration of the project partner institutions, foster collective thinking and address issues that arise in the Slovenian-Hungarian border area, and identify possible solutions.
